Objectives

Conduct each of the 3 studies to characterize a system according to the 3 main Dependability principles.

  • Understand the interest of each study,
  • Be able to choose the right tools according to the conducted study.

At the end of the training, the trainee will:

  • Definitions

  • Evaluate the associated parameters (MTBF, MTTF, etc.)
  • Present the relevant tools (methods, standards, modeling).

Maintainability study

  • Definitions
  • Stakes, context and objectives
  • Evaluate the associated parameters (MTTR, MDT, supply time, etc.).

Availability study

  • Definitions
  • Stakes, context and objectives
  • Reparability concept and calculation method
